Looks like LG will have an iphone look-a-like to market before Apple. With rumors pointing at a June release for the real iphone LG should have the jump on Apple. As you can see from the photo the two phones look very close in design. I'm sure the LG phone will be rushed to market a bit and likely have some UI flaws that the gang at Apple will have improved and if you are a mac user the iphone will work perfectly with Mac OSX while the LG phone working perfectly with Windows is a dream...

Another Superbowl and another set of commercials that will not likely increase sales for the companies involved. Some companies just have to do it to keep their brand active like Coke, GM etc but then there are the new comers that have great visions of running a 30 second commercial that will magically boost sales. This year was no different with some sales software company I have never heard of and likely will never hear of them again because they just blew 2 million of the venture capital money they just raised. The commercial was so bad I can't even remember the company name or the URL.

My Favorite was the GM robot and the Face Slapping. Entertaining but neither will subliminally make me buy a GM or start drinking American Beer.

TiVo just announced they will start marketing a system that details the live and time-shifted TV viewing for both programs and commercials of its 4.5 million subscribers. Just imagine what advertisers can do with this live information. It is the first time a company has offered such a service and Nielsen is also working on such a server however you have to believe that TiVo will have the technical jump on a company that gets its information from black boxes connected to TV sets.
